Hey, Marvin Harrison Jr. might be a little athletic.
Word of the Day: Listless.
QB CONTROVERSY? Folks, it looks like we might have ourselves a good, old-fashioned quarterback controversy in Columbus.
Buckeye linebacker Teradja Mitchell has been playing defense his entire Ohio State career, and based on the way he’s flicking this ball downfield with total ease, there’s reason to believe he might be making a position switch this offseason.

Now usually, a Heisman Trophy frontrunner and incumbent starter wouldn’t feel the least bit threatened by someone who hasn’t even played the position. But after seeing this tape from Mitchell, Stroud was absolutely rattled and vowed to work even harder to keep his job.
Im omw back to the woody right now to train, u throwing that thang not gon front https://t.co/CQDb47g1rU

Things just got real interesting in Columbus.
CRY. Y’all aren’t going to believe this, but Dabo Swinney found something to complain about in his press conference at ACC Media Days.
After leading his team to its worst season since 2014, Swinney is out here bitching about the criticism he’s been getting from his fanbase, suggesting that some folks are calling for him to be fired after Clemson won 10 games last season.
Dabo Swinney “Now when we win 10 games people want to fire me.”

For starters, this obviously isn’t true. Second, imagine any other elite coach – Nick Saban, Ryan Day, hell even Jim Harbaugh – going to his preseason press conference and making a statement like that. Everyone would lose their damn minds
For shits and giggle though, I decided to look into Swinney’s buyout on the off chance that Clemson did decide to fire him last season. Turns out, they would have owed him a whopping $47.5 million in buyout money.
Needless to say, the dude’s job could not be safer. Buddy needs to stop complaining and coach football.
TRANSFER WINDOW. The wild wild west might be getting a little less wild soon as the NCAA is apparently implementing a specific window for players to enter the NCAA Transfer portal.
Finally, the Council endorsed a concept that would eliminate the blanket rule prohibiting transferring more than once. The concept would also implement transfer portal “entry windows,” or periods of time in which student-athletes must provide their school with written notification of transfer to be eligible to compete immediately the following academic year.
For winter and spring sports, students could provide written notification of transfer the day after NCAA championship selections in that sport for 60 calendar days. In fall sports, two separate windows would provide a total of 60 calendar days. The first window would be 45 days beginning the day following championship selection and the second would be from May 1 to May 15. Reasonable accommodations will be made for participants in the Football Bowl Subdivision and Football Championship Subdivision championship games.
On one hand, this makes all the sense in the world and it’s also what pretty much every other sport on the planet does in some capacity.
On the other hand, this means we aren’t going to see players take off their jerseys and enter the transfer portal in the middle of a game anymore, and if I’m being honest, that makes me just a little bit sad.
RIP TURNOVER CHAIN. It looks like new Miami head coach Mario Cristobal is already ensuring that The U is less fun next season.
The Miami Hurricanes are ditching the “turnover chain” for the 2022 season, first-year coach Mario Cristobal told the Action Network on Wednesday.
“It’s not part of our culture,” Cristobal said, according to a tweet from the publication.
Miami’s turnover chain is an oversized 36-inch, 2.5-kilogram, 10-karat gold chain worn by players on the sideline after forcing a turnover. It has been used by the school since the first game of the 2017 season.
To be clear, I’m not a huge fan of turnover props, but I always respected the Turnover Chain as the OG.
And I don’t buy that “it’s not part of our culture” quote for even a second, because the turnover chain arguably was the most Miami thing to happen to that team since the Catholics vs. Convicts days.
